But I’m glad I gave it a try
When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack from greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a scheme to get revenge and shake up the industry. Loosely based on the 2011-2012 theft of $18 million worth of maple syrup from a warehouse in Quebec; five people were sentenced to prison. I didn’t want to watch it because most TV shows these days lack common sense.
Likeable characters and light entertainment
It’s 30 min. episode that is silly, cheesy, funny, dramatic, and engaging. I’ve watched all 6 episodes and can’t wait for season 2.
which is perfect for a half hour show
A few surprises to wrap up the series nicely. I recommend watching it, and it’s the perfect amount of time. Any longer and it would have dragged on.
Check it out
The French soundtrack is also engaging. I’m going to look it up on YouTube Music. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
