CIA operative Joe tries to balance his personal and professional life as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped create a more authentic performance of gun handling, house clearing, positioning, squad-based action, etc. Best new show in the world.
Great acting from everyone
After the disappointing 4th season of Jack Ryan and the weak shows all around, this felt like a much better show in every way. It looks really well made and the action/fight scenes look great. I feel like most of the criticism of this show in the comments section seems to come down to how unrealistic it is because of all the camera work, and I, for one, don’t mind a good female-led action show that’s an original IP that doesn’t turn a leading man into a leading woman.
I also haven’t seen any red flags so far like making every man look incompetent or anything like that
Also at first I thought it was going to be more of an action-first nonsense show but then they kind of dove into the family a little bit and I usually cringe at that but I didn’t like what they did there. My only criticism is that the plot of what this particular camera crew is doing is very limiting to the story and could kill it by going past the plot of the season/villain…it needs to be more encompassing so they can eventually make a new, more action-packed Homeland, otherwise it risks becoming too episodic like The Blacklist. PS: So far Nicole Kidman’s role is incredibly small and uneventful and could have been done by anyone else…
We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show
But from what I’ve seen so far, the show can stand on its own with Zaldana without another A-Lister. TLDR Overall Cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’ve seen so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done. It’s entertaining even without being the History Channel show that some commentators seem to prefer.

“Pemukiman Setan” (Demon Colony) is a horror film that attempts to combine supernatural horror with psychological suspense
The story follows a group of people who move to a seemingly deserted village, only to discover that it is haunted by dark forces.
As the characters uncover the village’s disturbing history, they confront their own fears and insecurities
The film creates a tense, eerie atmosphere with powerful visual effects and eerie sets that further heighten the horror.
The pacing also falters at times, which slows down the suspense
However, the plot can feel predictable at times, relying on familiar horror tropes rather than delivering truly original scares.
The performances are adequate, but the characters lack depth, making it difficult for viewers to connect with them emotionally
Despite its flaws, "Pemukiman Setan" has its moments of suspense and is suitable for traditional horror fans who enjoy the supernatural genre, although it may not be a must-see for others.
As a result, the film performed poorly at the box office and was removed from most theaters by the end of its third week or release
Tale
Through the eyes of a strong-willed woman, the extraordinary story of Irena Gut and the triumphs of the human spirit through a devastating tragedy unfolds as she risked her life to save a generation of Jews from the atrocities of the Holocaust. Although this Canadian film received a much wider release in Canada than the average Canadian film, for some reason its distributor, Elevation Pictures, decided not to give the film a substantial marketing budget.
What we do is who we are

I have always been a huge supporter and sympathizer of oppressed people around the world
I will never understand the immense hatred and special obsession of any person to hurt another based solely on their race. Fortunately, on the other side of this evil, we are also inspired by decent people who have demonstrated heroic acts of courage, morality, and good conscience to protect victims in these horrific circumstances.
Sophie Nelisse and the entire cast give phenomenal performances
I was immediately drawn into this film and was captivated by the time the credits rolled. This film is full of drama and suspense, and I cannot recommend it enough!

Tale
Jude Law’s “Skeleton Crew” plus other stars from a galaxy far, far away.. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young brothers is the same one that Chewbacca’s family watches in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978). Although Skeleton Crew is aimed at children to engage the next generation of Star Wars fans, it surprisingly appeals to older viewers as well. In this Star Wars series, four children discover a spaceship buried in the woods of At Attin, a peaceful and prosperous planet hidden in a galaxy filled with pirates, greed and chaos. Dreaming of adventure, at least some of it, the children accidentally activate the spaceship and end up lost on the other side of the galaxy.
Luckily, the ship comes with a battered droid to help guide them
But because the kids have lived a sheltered life, they often get into trouble. While it’s unmistakably Star Wars, Skeleton Crew feels like an ’80s kids’ adventure movie—think The Goonies, but set in space. For longtime fans, it’s packed with nostalgic touches, from the gear and ships to the alien creatures, all reminiscent of the original trilogy. Die-hard fans will also love the many Easter eggs scattered throughout, bringing back fond memories of the early days of the franchise. I especially loved seeing younger versions of various alien species we know from past films.
These little details keep you hooked and wanting more
It makes the galaxy feel more connected, showing that certain alien races are a constant presence rather than one-off appearances. There are also fun cameos, like a brief glimpse of a boy who looks like a young Kylo Ren. Jude Law, the biggest star of the cast, doesn’t appear until the end of the second episode, so it’s hard to judge the overall quality of the acting early on. The young actors, while less experienced, do a decent job. Two of the main boys stand out, reminding me of their performances in classics like The Goonies or Stand by Me.
The special effects are impeccable, leaving nothing to criticize
One of the four boys is a non-human alien, making it hard to gauge their acting, and another wears a cybernetic visor that hides much of their facial expression, reminiscent of Geordi La Forge from Star Trek. The production quality is top-notch, with Disney’s budget clearly on display. However, the episodes are on the short side, and the long credits, over five minutes long, seem excessive. With only eight episodes in the season, I fear the story won’t progress much unless the pace picks up significantly. Despite these concerns, Skeleton Crew was a pleasant surprise.

It’s fun, nostalgic, and engaging for viewers of all ages. I’m excited to see where the story goes, and I’m glad it offers something for adult fans of the Star Wars universe, too. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
