Ingrid (Julianne Moore) and Martha (Tilda Swinton) were close friends in childhood when they worked together for the same magazine. Ingrid became an autofiction novelist while Martha became a war reporter, and life circumstances separated them. After years of no contact, they find themselves in a highly conflictual relationship.
