Christmas calm descends on the small town, but the Christmas market is abuzz with activity. Marianne finds a teddy bear on the top shelf. Is it alive? Marianne must get the teddy bear. But Teddy wants to get to a rich family. I just watched this movie with my 8 year old niece and it is so empty, lazy and generic. Nothing happens. You can watch the first 10 minutes and the last 5 minutes of this movie and absolutely nothing will change. Everything is so forced, a bunch of Christmas generic stuff, no characters with any level of growth or change, so many things that don’t make sense. I get that this is a kids movie, but they could have put more thought into it. The best way to describe the movie would be like watching a Dharman video that is 80 minutes long, but even more stupid. The only reason I give this movie 4 stars is because it looks good. It’s not perfect, but it’s more than good.

His way of life is being impinged on by resort developers, tribal rights, and the authority of the state of Montana. Reminiscent of Rock Hudson in "Giant", he is trying to hold on to the old ways."Yellowstone" develops quickly with little introduction, yet its story unravels with the natural pace of a wilderness day, pausing for tribal rituals, cowboy conventionalities, and political machinations.
It’s a far flung undertaking that dwells on the seams between laws and justice, family and friendships. He is a world-wearied man who has seen too much and lied too often. The land and the family are his lifeblood.
He can hear the footsteps coming his way, but he can only fulfill his role-out of habit as much as loyalty. Although some action is a little confusing due to lack of explanation, it feels natural, as if the viewer is getting a genuine slice-of-life glimpse into another world. I hope the resolution of this saga includes an emotional payoff that justifies its breadth and its attention to details.

I live in Darby, MT, where most of this is filmed – just yesterday, filming took place right across the street from me in a field with a few horses and cattle.
One thing I noticed about the first season, considering I’m half Native American, is that it makes you wonder who the good guys and the bad guys are – maybe both sides are both good and bad.
