A reverend accompanies a ragtag group of rejected military men to a remote South Pacific island to investigate the disappearance of Marines rumored to be in the hands of the Imperial Japanese Army. The interior shown, especially at the end of the film, is a larger cargo plane, possibly a C-123. The director is the main reason for a bad film.

I feel troubled after watching this film

All the characters were played well, including the werewolf, but what is Murphy’s role? Why is a vampire needed in Murphy’s Cafe? Why was Murphy needed in this film?

How were they turned?

Who trained the father and when? Why does a werewolf also live in a village and serve the villagers? Who created a team of extraordinary people who die in seconds?

I also enjoyed the mysterious background music

All these story loops ruined this film, but I appreciate the people who acted the characters and scenes well. A low budget movie can be improved with the right story. Even we enjoy the werewolf and his style, but he hides behind a wall that looks like human behavior.

So please don’t waste your money making movies like this

The show shifts the setting to the present day

Referenced in Graham Norton i likes: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). It’s well done for the most part, the actor from Jackals is very good here. There are a few occasional scenes where I find it unlikely that the Jackal wouldn’t have been easily identified by a security camera, like in ep1 after the sniper’s shot as he leaves the hotel.

Maybe that’s because it’s based on an old book (or TV show?) where that wasn’t a concern

Also the second problem, and probably the biggest one, is that the actress playing the detective is really incapable of expressing herself and only has one facial expression. At work? Blank stare.

Was he a loner, a criminal, or just a normal guy? With all the solar panels on the roofs and batteries, get some electric vehicles and you’re good to go. Plant some crops and stock up on canned goods.

I can’t wait to see the next episodes

Having met 2 survivors on his travels, he has some hope for the future, so why not prepare for the future? Personally, I would seek out an underground bunker and stay hidden from what is yet to come. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
