Growing up in the Amazon rainforest has brought Autumn a rare friendship — in the form of a lost jaguar cub, Hope, whom she finds. When a tragic event forces Hope to leave her behind and move to the unknown of New York, Autumn dreams of returning to the rainforest and her friend for years. At age 14 and having adjusted to city life, Autumn discovers that her childhood village is under threat from animal traffickers and decides that she must return to the Amazon to her beloved jaguar. Anja (Emily Bett Rickards) — Autumn’s charmingly clumsy biology teacher — tries unsuccessfully to talk her out of this ill-advised plan. With Anja, Autumn embarks on a journey to reunite with Hope and save her from those who want to destroy the rainforest and its wildlife.
